Launched in 2021,

Haverfordwest Badminton Club has 3 aims:

1. To promote the club and playing of badminton within the local community.

2. To promote badminton as a social and fun sport to play.

3. To improve the skills and fitness of members through a positive environment.

We are run by volunteers and have a committee of 10 to help run the club. We are affiliated to Badminton Wales and play at the Pembrokeshire Sports Village.

Information on joining...

We welcome players of all abilities aged 16 plus.

We have an annual membership fee of just £10 and you can play for up to three weeks before having to pay this.

Playing fees are on top of this and are £6 - two hours, £4 - one hour every week.

You can pay by cash or by bank transfer into our account.

You should always wear comfortable clothing and appropriate shoes suitable for a sports hall. We require all players to carry out a warm up before playing - this is your responsibility to carry this out. We ask you to do this to avoid injuries and take no responsibility for any injuries incurred by yourself whilst playing.

We play with feather shuttlecocks but do have plastics too, in case you would prefer to play a more ethical game.

Games are played to 21 points and you may have periods in between games waiting for a court to be free. We don't guarantee continuous games. This is a great time to watch and learn from others playing - or have a chat with some of the friendly gang.

You are not expected to play every week and we do not require you to let us know if you are coming or not. We are an informal club and coming along should be fun, not feel like a chore.

You do not need to inform us you are coming during your first week, HOWEVER, it might be a good idea to check we are playing - just in case. It's also nice when we know to look out for a new face.
