West Wales Badminton League
Affiliated to Pembrokeshire Badminton Association
How will it work...
This year we are keeping things very simple. You enter as a pair and play the season against other pairs in your league table. The matches are a race to 2, with games up to 21 points with setting.

We are not having divisions for our launch season and depending on numbers, we are hoping to have around 6 to 8 pairs in each league group. You will play home and away games against each pair, and will be required to select your home venue on your entry form.
Fixtures
We will provide the fixtures during the launch of the season, and games will have a 'must be played by date', but it will be up to you to contact your opponents and arrange a mutually suitable date and time. You will also be responsible for paying and booking your court.

You'll need to submit your results immediately after the game and do this online.
Shuttles
Your entry fee includes one tube of shuttles which have been approved by the League Committee - Yehlex Tournament. You can purchase additional shuttles from the League Secretary Tomos Waters or purchase the same brand yourself.

Games are not permitted with a different brand or speed of shuttle.
Fees & how to pay
This years entry is set at just £25.00.
£18.50 of this pays for your tube of shuttles and £6.50 goes towards the league administration costs, e.g. medals and website hosting.

You are expected to pay for court hire yourselves (home team always pays) and we are unable to hold 'league events' until we find some sponsorship / funding.

Once you have had an email confirming your entry form, you'll need to transfer the money into our competition bank account.

Please reference the payment with your initial and surname.
Who can enter
We aren't being gender specific which means you can enter any combination of genders into our doubles competition league. For example male/male or male/female, or female/female.

There is no requirement to play to a certain standard (e.g. graded level E) so all abilities are welcome. However this is a competitive league and players will be playing hard and fast. Points difference will make a difference to league position if tied with another pair, so please don't be upset if your opponents try to beat you 21-0.

Following the initial launch season, we aim to use the league standings to guide us in developing different divisions next season.
